Designed by Gooisoft in partnership with Pandora Consulting, the Chemical Compatibility Database ("ChemDB") automatically generates all the Health and Safety requirement chemical compatibility matrices needed to ensure safety in the process design of a new or existing industrial chemical manufacturing plant.
The ChemDB goes a step further than this by incorporating automated production of the Safety Weighted Hazard Index (SWeHI), a new user-friendly tool for swift yet comprehensive hazard identification and safety evaluation in chemical process industries, as codified by Faisal Khan and Tahir Husain.
Gooisoft built the ChemDB using Microsoft .Net framework technologies and an automated code generation system that allows database development to be done at about twice the speed of a typical software development shop whilst at the same time improving consistency and reliability. The ChemDB can run against a Microsoft SQL Server, Microsoft Access, or MySQL backend database.
